Do you have a surplus of old Art supplies? Crafting supplies? Fabrics of any kind? Old photos? Frames? An old iron or glue gun? We could use these in our CAMS Makerspace! Read below for a little more info… We are developing a Makerspace at Chester Area Middle School where students will be able to create and innovate using high and low technologies, including everything from a 3D printer, GoPro cameras, stop-motion filming to felting, painting and knitting!
Maker Education is an instructional philosophy that incites change in how students interact with technology. Students become creators rather than consumers. Through the creation of physical artifacts, students engage in authentic learning experiences that activate previous STEAM knowledge and inspires new learning in their journeys to become innovators and creators, not consumers.
